A Pollinator Magnet With Nonstop Blooms
Orange Skipper Coneflower delivers month after month of tangerine flowers that light up your landscape from July through September. Cultivated from native Echinacea, this compact plant stays tidy at just 15 to 18 inches tall, making it ideal for front-of-border plantings where you can enjoy the show up close. The brilliant orange petals surrounding dark cones create a striking contrast that catches the eye from across the yard.
Pollinators can’t resist this beauty. Butterflies flock to the nectar-rich blooms throughout the growing season, and songbirds arrive in fall to feast on the seed heads. Once established, this coneflower handles summer heat and drought with ease, continuing to produce fresh flowers even when rainfall is scarce.
