White Pine (Pinus strobus)
One of the most ornamental and beautiful native evergreen trees, its gracefulness makes it an excellent choice for use as a specimen for large properties. Often used for screening.
Size: 50 to 80 feet high and 20 to 40 feet wide
Shape: Pyramidal
Cones: Pendant cones 3 to 7 inches long
Fall Color: No change
Other Attributes: Native tree. Can be sheared into a hedge. Produces cones at an early age. Fallen needles make great mulch.
Growing Conditions: Plant in full sun in fertile, moist, well-drained soil.
