Armstrong Columnar Red Maple

A compact, narrow growing red maple for smaller spaces or for use as an unusual accent or specimen tree. Fits in nicely between the sidewalk and road curb. A kin of the 'October Glory' and 'Red Sunset' red maples.

Size: 50 to 70 feet high and 15 to 20 feet wide

Shape: Columnar

Fall Color: Orange-red

Rate of Growth: Fast (12 to 15 feet high in 4 to 6 years)

Other Attributes: Moderately drought tolerant once established.

Growing Conditions: Best planted in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained soil but is adaptable to various soils. Tolerates occasional flooding and is somewhat salt tolerant.
