Lustrous dark green foliage, white flowers and 3/8" diameter, red fruit are outstanding. Excellent choice as a small ornamental tree. Beautiful against an evergreen background, where gray stems and persistent red fruit are more prominent.

Size: 20 to 25 feet high by 20 to 30 feet wide

Shape: Lovely rounded habit, almost vase-shaped branching structure.

Fall Color: Purple and scarlet.

Rate of Growth: Slow to medium.

Other Attributes: Bark on older stems exfoliates and exposes grays, greens and orangish browns. White flowers in May, 3/4" diameter. Fruit persisting into winter. Among the handsomest of all hawthorns.

Growing Conditions: Plant in full sun
