Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar (Cedrus atlantica 'Glauca Pendula')

A majestic and gorgeous evergreen tree to be used as a specimen. It has bluish needles; the branches cascade like water over rocks. Must be staked to develop a strong leader. Can be pruned to shape and train.

Size: 20 to 30 feet high and 25 to 35 feet wide but height and width are dependant on training. Easily pruned to maintain within limits. But needs some space to achieve its beauty and grace.

Shape: Weeping

Cones: 2 to 4 inches long

Rate of Growth: Fast when young, more slowly when to maturity.

Other Attributes: Like the upright version of the Blue Atlas Cedar, it is one of the most beautiful needled evergreens. As it matures takes on an artistic bent. Drought tolerant once established.

Growing Conditions: Best grown in full sun to partial shade in organic, moist, well-drained soil. Shield from sweeping winds. Does not tolerate wet soils.

Prices vary according to size, variety, and availability.
