Deodar Cedar

The most popular landscape cedar, principally because of its fast growth and branch density in youth. Fluffy and dense, becoming more open and artistic with age. Blue-green needles are the longest of the true cedars. Excellent specimen evergreen due to its extremely graceful and pendulous habit.

Size: 40 to 70 feet high and wide

Shape: Broadly pyramidal when young with gracefully pendulous branches becoming wide spreading and flat-topped in old age.

Rate of Growth: Medium

Other Attributes: Singular cones or two together on short branchlets; oblong, 3" to 4" long by approximately 3" broad.

Growing Conditions: Plant in full sun and well-drained, somewhat dry, soil; protect from sweeping winds.
