Blue Atlas Cedar

The Blue Atlas Cedar is an extremely picturesque and interesting evergreen tree. The steel blue needles provide year-round color. Plant as a specimen tree in an area with plenty of space to fully appreciate its beauty.

Size: 40 to 60 feet high and 30 to 40 feet wide

Shape: Main leader and pyramidal in youth becoming more horizontal as it matures

Cones: 2 to 4 inches long

Rate of Growth: Fast when young; more slowly to maturity

Other Attributes: One of the most beautiful needled evergreens. Gets better with age. Drought tolerant once established.

Growing Conditions: Best planted in full sun or partial shade in organic, moist, well-drained soil. Shield from sweeping, particularly winter, winds. Will not withstand wet soils.
