Stadler Nurseries - A Growing Family Business Since 1932
The Stadler family has been growing plants and landscaping for three generations. Paul Stadler, a Swiss immigrant, started the business in 1932. Paul began by gardening for clients in Georgetown, DC. He and his wife, Rebecca, operated the landscaping and garden center operations on a small farm that is now part of Brookside Gardens in Glenmont, Maryland. Customers still recall the days when they would select a plant from the "azalea hill" and watch Rebecca dig it up for them!
More than 75 years later, Stadler Nurseries has grown into one of the largest and most respected garden centers in the region. The year-round, full service garden centers in Frederick and Laytonsville, Maryland and Bristow, VA, offer one of the largest and most diverse plant selections in the area. Stadler Nurseries is committed to providing plants of the highest quality including landscape shrubs, seasonal color, over 700 varieties of perennials, native and unusual plants. Most of our plants are locally grown.
Stadler is known for trees with one of the largest tree farms in the state with 340 acres of growing fields. Shade, flowering and evergreen varieties are selected for hardiness and adaptability to this area.
